Hoof & HerdPractical knowledge. Better herd care.

Our story

Behind Hoof & Herd

We believe practical livestock knowledge should be understandable, transparent about its sources, and grounded in respect for animals and the people caring for them.

What we're building

Where veterinary learning meets farm life.

Hoof & Herd is an educational project founded by Dr. Waleed Ahmed, DVM. We share veterinary knowledge and lessons learned through practical experience to help readers explore herd health, feeding, reproduction and daily dairy management.

We share practical experience responsibly, identify each article's author, and credit an independent veterinary reviewer only when that person has actually reviewed the article.

Waleed also founded Grey Muzzle Squad, an educational resource about senior dog health and care.
